question on DITA - FMx

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with the DITA - FMx tools from Leximation?
I went to the website but didn't get a clear picture of what it is offering
the user. Is it supposed to work with structured framemaker? What
advantages does it offer?

Hi Linda

We have a lot of experience with DITA-FMx and we like it a lot. Yes, it
works with structured Framemaker because you use it to author and publish
DITA-structured content in XML. This is a list of the advantages which
DITA-FMx offers compared to the DITA support in various versions of
FrameMaker:

You have impeccable timing. It happens that Front Runner Training is having
a FREE F.U.N. (FrameMaker User Network) event tomorrow, November 10th, that
you can join online via GoToMeeting for information regarding your question
about DITA - FMx tools from Leximation, getting a clear picture of what it
is offering the user, how it works with structured FrameMaker and what
advantages it has to offer.

Tim Grantham will be doing a Structured FrameMaker 10 presentation,
including a demo of Leximation’s DITA-FMx plug-in for authoring and
publishing DITA content in FrameMaker, at 1:30 EST. I believe you will get a
lot out of it.
